The Community Modules wiki page and the Community Modules Repo are both good places to look for community-created modules. Some modules also include css and html files. Most modules consist of a module.json file that describes the module and contains some metadata about it, and a .js file that contains the module code. Modules enhance or replace functionality within Foundry VTT. Using Foundry VTT Modules for the First Time
BubbleRolls () - Displays dice roll results in a chat bubble or popup above the character. Shops, treasure troves, and party shared loot are all covered by the NPC Loot Sheet (-loot-sheet-npc-5e). Most of the time, I simply forget about it after more essential stuff. FX master () is a beautiful and sophisticated tool for map effects like clouds and rain, although I haven’t used it much yet. Because I can’t get accustomed to Foundry’s default NPC sheets, I created BetterNPCSheet5e (). Players will never ask me, “What time is it?” again. Virtual Tabletop Assets – D&D Beyond Integration () - Fantastic module to let you import D&D Beyond content into your world. Moerills-fvtt-modules/token-mold () This is fantastic! Especially if I’m dropping a large number of monsters and want to create their HP at random, among other things. Allows for some linguistic role-playing by requiring only PCs who understand the language being typed (spoken), with garbled information appearing in the chat window if they do not. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seems to be useful. Polyglot () is a fvtt module that allows you to switch between languages. Pings () - A simple module that allows players to ping the map, which then appears graphically. D&D 5e Conditions () - Simple module that removes all the standard Foundry condition icons and replaces them with D&D specific ones. After a roll, adds tiny icons to auto-increment/decrement damage on tokens. Another useful QOL module is Chat Damage Buttons (). Modules to Make Your Game More Interesting It aids with the precise adjustment of low-level volume levels. Playlists: Adds a ‘Now Playing’ section and conceals sound controls until they are hovered over. Combat: To rapidly change the initiative value in the combat tracker, double-click it. You can also use an actor folder to deploy several tokens at once in a scenario. Tokens : As the GM, you have the ability to activate or disable token vision for yourself. Divide Journal: To split a journal entry into several entries, use the split option from the context menu. The macro editor now has syntax highlighting, fullscreen mode, and a test run button. Advanced Macros: Call macros with parameters or straight from chat using async script macros, handlebars templating, recursive macro calls, and async script macros. Advanced Drawing Tools: New drawing tools with a variety of pattern fill types, a new HUD, and a variety of choices. This one brings great QOL and features to Foundry. It was one of the first modules I installed, and I can’t imagine my life without it. The Furnace () is a GitHub project by Kakaroto (). Some of my players prefer to roll from DNDBeyond directly. Allows you to utilize your character sheets, dice rolls, and other resources. 
If you utilize DND Beyond in any way, this is a must-have. 
You’ll probably have to pick between this and BetterRolls. Improvements in Midlife Quality of Life (Module Link) Checking whether attacks hit, auto-rolling damage, and other interesting processes are possible.
It enables for fast, compounded item rolls, ability checks, saving throws, and just about every other roll in 5th Edition DnD. There are several fantastic third-party/community modules available that are a must-have for gamers. Open source modules are a great approach to take your game to the next level. While Foundry is a fantastic tool right out of the gate, it’s the Modules that really set it apart from other RPGs like Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds. We’ve been running three games a week using FoundryVTT for the last several months.
